A Quirky Residential Building Survey
near Historic Hever Castle
DMP undertook a Full Building & Acquisition Survey of a beautiful property near Hever, Kent.
The property, formed part of the wide wing of a larger house. Originally constructed in 1905 by architect Robert Weir Schultz. Which has since been sub-divided into four separate family country homes.
It was evident during the inspection that the property had previously been renovated and converted to a high standard. Particularly internally, with converted attic spaces to provide substantial bedrooms, replacement windows and integration of high specification NEST audible and security system.
To further assist our client, through thorough investigation, our experienced team were able to report on the planning history of the site.
After each survey, within 48 hours, our team feedback their initial thoughts and finding. Overall, we found the property to be in good condition with limited deficiencies.
Our surveyors advised that the external envelope of the property requires further attention. Primarily attributed to periodic redecorations & repairs to the soffits and fascia boards. In addition, isolated repairs to misplaced, cracked or slipped clay tiles.
