Better homes, better air, better health!

DMP have over the last few years been involved with and developed schemes where clean air ventilation systems have been installed or have been  necessity for a better standard of living.

The issue of a better air quality has become increasingly important with the rise in pollution and the requirements of larger development schemes in highly urbanized locations.

The subject of external air quality was catapulted into the mainstream in 2016, by the publication of Every Breath We Take, authored by the Royal College of Physicians. ‘The health problems resulting from exposure to air pollution have a high cost to people who suffer from illness and premature death, to our health services and to business. In the UK, these costs add up to more than £20 billion every year.’

At DMP we are keen researchers of information which is connected to and useful knowledge to schemes we are working on.

We have followed the The Better homes, better air, better health event which was the first stage of a multi-partnered discussion to engage the build environment and medical communities – researchers, policymakers and practitioners – in how to improve indoor air quality.

The outcome of the event was the following – http://www.arcc-network.org.uk/wp-content/pdfs/IAQ-action-group-report-Apr2017.pdf
