What is a CAT A fit out?

Where there is no standard specification, a Category A fit out are usually complete with a suspended ceiling, lighting, heating and raised flooring. This would be the functioning space that landlords would lease. Then left up to the tenant to install the functional design and finishes that suit their workplace. Where CAT A is habitable, they are often a bare-bones, open plan or blank canvas.

What is a CAT B fit out?

Also known as a Category B fit out, follows on from CAT A fit out to provide a space that a company can simply  move into and start working. This is custom-fit to your brand and style. CAT B office fit out is ideally bespoke to the individual needs or your business and workforce, delivering the right mix of workstations, meeting rooms and rest areas.  A tailored CAT B fit out should reflect your brand and work ethos, including furniture, colours and custom designed elements. Space planning is often carried out before any design work is started to ensure the space is suitable for the workforce.
