DMP initially carried out a measured survey on the property and achieved planning permission on 28/07/2017 for the construction of a two storey extension to the side and rear of the property. In addition, to provide further commercial area at ground floor and 2 further residential units at first floor. This permission elapsed after 3 years and the works never went ahead.

The mixed use property is located to the North side of Brighton Road in Horley, forming part of a local shopping centre. The property is made up of retail across ground floor and 3 no. flats over first floor.

DMP are instructed to achieve granted permission for the construction of ground floor extension to existing retail unit. Alteration and extension to first floor accommodation to provide 2 no. further flats at first floor. To replace the elapsed granted permission.

Our Planning & Development team prepared a Full Planning Application and Planning/Design & Access statement to be submitted to Reigate & Banstead Borough Council for their consideration.

The application was monitored during the determination process, keeping the client updated and key points. On this occassion, the application had to go to the planning committee as a requirement of RBBC due to the additional 2 dwellings being provided. We are thrilled to share that the planning permission was granted.

Its worth mentioning that, working with 13 Councils across London and Southeast, from March 2021 to March 2022, DMP proudly achieved 86.4% successful Planning Application outcomes.
