During late 2021 DMP have been working closely with our client to submit varying planning applications. Significantly, the buildings, are located in the greenbelt and area of outstanding natural beauty in the District of Sevenoaks.
Firstly, the main house application, this includes a first floor extension, internal alterations and window replacement to the existing Medieval Hall House. The Planning and listed building application shall allow for a family bathroom at first floor. Importantly, to ensure the building is repaired and restored, whilst respecting its heritage. Including wattle and daub finishes at first floor and timbers dating back approximately 500 years.
Furthermore, in conjunction with the main house, an application for conversion of a detached laundry/store room. Which is proposed to provide home office and games room.
A further application for the repairs and reinstatement of a Kent Barn which has fallen into a state of disrepair.
Finally, DMP have submitted to Sevenoaks District Council detailed drawings for the repairs and conversation of an existing stable block with loose boxes, tack room and woodstore. This is to provide additional ancillary bedroom and living accommodation to the main farmhouse. This proposal, will provide additional accommodation, and enhance the setting of the neighbouring Grade II listed farmhouse.
