Client Brief
DMP was instructed to develop a Building Regulations package while acting as the Contract Administrator of a project to a Grade II listed commercial property in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells which had been previously connected to the adjoining property.
The project included extensive internal alteration and refurbishment works to provide a self-contained ground-floor commercial unit and offices on the first and second floors. The repairs included external render and chimney stack repairs as well as internal damp proofing and tanking of the Ground floor commercial unit.
DMP Solution
Throughout the project, DMP liaised with the Approved Inspector, fire-specialist consultants, and Local Authority Conservation Officer to ensure the project maintained the correct fire safety provisions as well as maintaining the historic significance of the property.
In addition, DMP provided technical support to the client-nominated contractor and sub-contractors throughout the project to ensure the project met regulations, time and budget.
