SHORTLISTED: UK Construction Week 2020

Exciting news just in, UK Construction Week (UKCW) have announced that John Whitlock, Managing Partner, is shortlisted for a coveted title as Role Model 2020.

This year, UKCW received a record number of entries. Applications take from all professions at all levels, creating a shortlist of 102 Role Models from across the UK.

Congratulations to John for reaching the shortlist stage. Read below some of the key reasons why;

Since 2019 John is a significant influencer within our industry through attending Chamber of Commerce meetings and president of his local BNI Excelsior Networking Group. In addition, shortlisted for “Excellence in Customer Service” award with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and other nominations for regional business awards.

John creates meaningful links with Universities to enable DMP to take Graduates who are looking for a paid gap year. Encouraging grass root talent into the industry with interesting, rewarding and valuable work experience.

Furthermore, this year John took the team to Futurebuild UK. The event showcase the best innovation and products the industry has to offer. Promoting state of the art ways of working, inspiring and leading the team.

John has scheduled Year 10 school students for a full comprehensive week of industry work experience. Providing inspirational career experience for young minds that are keen to learn about the industry.

Significantly he has recently paid and donated school resources to Broadwater Down Primary School based in Tunbridge Wells. Importantly, the resource named “Caught in the Web” deals with issues surrounding internet safety and cyber bullying. The books are fun and interactive and been developed to help deal with these difficult issues in Personal, Social and Health Education at key stage 1 & 2.
